Opioid Addiction Medications
At Veritas Health, PLLC we use buprenorphine (SUBOXONE®) and naltrexone (VIVITROL®) to treat opioid dependence and addiction to short-acting opioids such as heroin, morphine, and codeine, as well as semi-synthetic opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone. People may safely take these medications for months, years, or even a lifetime.
Veritas Health’s Buprenorphine Clinic
You may receive Buprenorphine that helps to suppress cravings for the abused drug. It can come in an injection (SUBLOCADE™) under the skin that last for 30 days or a daily pill form. Learn more about buprenorphine.
Veritas Health’s Naltrexone Clinic
You may receive Naltrexone which blocks the euphoric and sedative effects of the abused drug and prevents feelings of euphoria. At Veritas Health, PLLC we recommend joining our Vivitrol clinic, where we provide a long acting injectable form of Naltrexone that last 30 days.
Your treatment of alcohol addiction may also include the use of Disulfiram or acamprosate. You will see the most benefit if you are also participating in an addiction program/therapy.
